We have provided a list of various links to organizations that provide information about comprehensive emergency preparedness programs and training. Programs such as CERT, Homeland Security and FEMA provide useful information that can keep you and your family safe during a disaster. Feel free to sign up to receive news alerts from the Homeland Security Advisory System.

CERTCERT is a training program that prepares you to help yourself, your family and your neighbors in the event of a disaster. During an incident, emergency services personnel may not be able to reach everyone right away. By getting trained in CERT, you will have the skills to help emergency responders save lives and protect property.

Homeland SecurityThis Department of Homeland Security’s overriding and urgent mission is to lead the unified national effort to secure the country and preserve our freedoms. While the Department was created to secure our country against those who seek to disrupt the American way of life, our charter also includes preparation for and response to all hazards and disasters. The citizens of the United States must have the utmost confidence that the Department can execute both of these missions.
