The Unified Government’s Board of Park Commission is comprised of an eleven member governing body.
The Park and Recreation Commission plays an important, active role in the planning and development process for parks in Wyandotte County. The Park and Recreation Commission serves in an advisory role regarding the activities of the Parks and Recreation Department. These activities include but are not limited to making recommendations on park development, long term planning initiatives for park needs and recreation department programs.

The Unified Government Park Board Commissioners meeting will be held every month at the Fleet Service Complex, 5033 State Ave, Kansas City, Kansas 66102 at 6:00 p.m. The scheduled meetings are as follows:
