Cross County

The Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, KS Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce the upcoming start of the Cross Country Season at Wyandotte County Park, 126th and State Ave.  The 2009 season, will feature at least five meets in the park. The host schools are Basehor, Bonner Springs, Wyandotte (2 meets) and Bishop Ward.  This year the course has a new fan friendly look with the start/finish line in the same vicinity by shelter F. Shelter F is located across 126th from the entrance to Sandstone Amphitheater.  The course, praised for its excellence, will be used by many schools in the metropolitan area. 

Dates of the meets are: Thurs., Sept. 3, Sat., Sept. 19, Thurs., Oct. 1, Thurs., Oct. 8 and Tues., Oct. 13. All of the meets will start around 3:45 pm except the Saturday, September 19th meet which will start around 10:00 am.

Renaissance Festival

The Unified Government Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce the start of a new season at the Renaissance Festival in beautiful Wyandotte County Park, September 5 – October 18. The Festival is open weekends, Labor Day and Columbus Day, 10:00 am – 7:00 pm.
