Thursday, 8:30 am to 11:00 am and 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm
The Unified Government of Wyandotte County Public Health Department is providing H1N1 vaccinations during regular clinic hours at the Health Department to residents of Wyandotte County who are in the current priority groups to receive the vaccine. Presently the priority groups are:
- Pregnant Women
- People caring for, and household contact of, infants under 6 months of age
- Health care workers who provide direct patient care
- Children ages 6 months through 4 years
- Children ages 5 to 18 years of age who have certain underlying medical conditions
Residents who are not in the current priority groups to receive the vaccine are asked to please be patient until more vaccine is available. Currently 25 providers are giving the 11,500 doses of H1N1 vaccine the Health Department has received to the high priority groups. As the vaccine becomes more available the general public will be able to receive H1N1 vaccination at many locations throughout the community.
