ADOPTION OF 2009 I-CODES/ENERGY CODES                                                                                     

The City of Kansas City, KS building codes are currently utilizing the 2003 version of residential building codes.  The Unified Government wants to strengthen local policy and promote building energy efficiency by adopting the 2009 I-Codes. 

These codes will provide the basis for future construction to be more energy efficient.
