The GeoSpatial Services Division of Unified Government ('UG') offers downloadable 'as-is' GIS data as a convenient public resource. Any download of this GIS data certifies compliance with UG's terms and limitations of use listed below.
All information and data here has been prepared for and by the UG to serve its internal needs, and shall remain the property of UG. It is expressly understood that UG asserts any copyrights allowed by law over its data (© 2012 by Unified Government of Wyandotte County, Kansas City, Kansas).
Download & Use Tips
- Click on a 'Download' link below to download dataset [includes GIS metadata file and GIS data file in a .zip compression file]. File format option currently is ESRI® ShapeFile (.shp). A compatible GIS/CAD program or viewer is necessary in order to view ShapeFiles.
- Data is natively in Kansas North State Plane Coordinates and US Survey Feet. Note: if you use this data in conjunction with data in other projections/coordinate systems you should know that this data may not overlay properly without reprojection 'on-the-fly' in the software, or other means. View data metadata for more on spatial reference specifications.
- You may also directly view any available GIS metadata (documentation) for a dataset by clicking on that layer's "View" link in “Metadata” column.
