The County Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Unified Government including:

  • All personnel matters
    • the appointment of department heads
    • Police chief
    • Fire Chief
    • Director of Public Works
  • Preparation and submission of the annual Unified Government Budget

The County Administrator works closely with the CFO and Budget staff to monitor all financial activities and functions of the government, establish budget priorities, allocate resources, and to determine the policy agenda for the ensuing year.
