Thank you for your interest in employment with the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas. A listing of employment opportunities are posted and updated every Thursday.

Applications are accepted Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and will not be accepted after 5:00 pm on the closing date. Some special positions may have an earlier closing time, e.g., Police, Fire,& Sheriff so please follow the deadline listed on the applicant instruction sheets.

Applications for Deputy, Patrol Officer, and Firefighter EMT/MICT must be submitted in person to the Human Resources Department. Incomplete applications for Deputy, Patrol Officer, and Firefighter EMT/MICT will not be accepted.

SKILLS TESTS

If scheduled for an interview, the candidate will be required to complete assessments which will vary by position: Typing (Speed & Accuracy), Data Entry, Grammar, Spelling, Math Copying Numbers and Alphabetizing.

How to apply:

All positions require that the applicant be a resident of Wyandotte County or willing to relocate within 12 months from the date of hire. As a condition of employment all employees must pass a post offer physical examination and drug screen. Public law requires all new appointees to submit proof of identity and employment eligibility. The Human Resources Department provides several options for you to choose from when applying for a position with the UG.
