Healthy Families Wyandotte is a program for first-time parents who want to improve their health and their child's health and development.
How Does Healthy Families Wyandotte Work?
| Goals of Healthy Families Wyandotte:
- Promote a healthy pregnancy;
- Improve your child's health and development;
- Increase the quality of life for your family.
A program home visitor will routinely visit you and your family during pregnancy and/or after your child is born until the age of two years.
The home visitor will work with your family on personal health, environmental health, high quality care giving for your child, and your own life improvement.
The home visitor will provide education and support for your family, as well as help your family identify other community resources.
Who Is Eligible for Health Families Wyandotte?
- Wyandotte County residents;
- First-time parents, but exceptions may be considered.
How Much Does Healthy Families Wyandotte Cost? Services are provided at no cost to you.
