Services Provided: Monday thru Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Visits are made at the client’s home, birthing hospital or health department
Non-medical personnel are available to make home visits providing information and support to pregnant women and families of newborns living in Wyandotte County. Information is provided on the following:
- Prenatal care
- Nutrition
- Infant care
- Immunization providers
- Child development
- Mother's feelings / recovery
- Home / auto safety

- Healthy Start Home Visitors work closely with nursing staff and refer clients when appropriate. All clients are provided information regarding available community resources and referrals are made as necessary for: food, transportation, financial assistance, emergency or routine medical care, and questionable abuse / neglect.

Are appointments necessary? Usually appointments are made for home visits.
Is there a fee? These visits are conducted at no charge to the client.
Eligibility Requirements to Receive Service include: Clients must be residents of Wyandotte County.
