Keeping Kansas City, Kansas Clean
Operation Brightside is 1 of 7 divisions located in the NRC. This office provides services that assist residents with efforts to clean-up their neighborhood. As residents, we all play an essential role in maintaining and sustaining a safe and healthy living environment for our children and families. The Unified Government’s Operation Brightside provides the following services to assist you with this effort:
Graffiti Abatement Efforts
With owner’s authorization, we can assist with cleanup in most cases.
Can provide limited colors of recycled latex paint for cleanup.
Litter Prevention Efforts
Assist with neighborhood litter cleanups.
Assist with school cleanups.
Provide anti-litter educational materials.
Encourage litter-free events.
Beautification Efforts
Waste Reduction Efforts
Reduce, reuse, and recycle educational materials.
Educational assemblies.
America Recycles Day activities.
Recycled latex paint program.
Burn Dates/HHW Days
As of January 2005, Operation Brightside has become a division of the Public Works Department of the Unified Government. In addition, there is a nonprofit organization, Operation Brightside, Inc., which helps to raise funds for projects and assists with volunteer efforts of our programming.
