Welcome to the Unified Government/Wyandotte County Register of Deeds Office where customer service is our top priority. The citizens of Wyandotte County elect the Register of Deeds every four years.

The Register of Deeds has custody of and manages Wyandotte County real estate documents dating back to the territorial days of the mid 1850’s. The Register of Deeds office processes approximately 30,000 documents a year using state of the art recording technology.

It is the function of the Register of Deeds to provide the official county repository for:

  • Real estate records such as deeds, mortgages, subdivision plats, assignment and satisfaction of mortgage, etc
  • To provide safe archival storage and convenient access to the public records
  • To implement statutory changes, system upgrades, program and procedure evaluation and staff development to assure a high level of customer service for our citizens
