John Paul Jones
Fire Chief
 

John Paul Jones was appointed to lead the Kansas City, Kansas Fire Department in August of 2007.

Chief Jones has enjoyed working his way up in the field and through the ranks to become Chief of the Department. Chief Jones began his career with the Kansas City, Kansas Fire Department in 1987 as a rookie firefighter.

He is a life-long resident of Kansas City, Kansas and is a graduate of Bishop Ward High School.  He received an Associate Degree from Kansas City Kansas Community College, a Bachelor of Science Degree from Kansas State University, and a Master of Science Degree in Fire Administration and Emergency Management from Oklahoma State University.
