The Trowbridge Research Library is an excellent source for doing Genealogy research in Wyandotte County. We have indexes that include obituaries, wills, tax rolls, marriage licenses, and other biographical information.
Our marriage license’s go back before the 1880s and our newspapers go as far back as the 1860s. We also have many cemetery records that can be very useful when trying to find a date of death or an obituary. The collection also contains more than 15,000 photographs; a photo index along with an index of wills, tax rolls, and some of our cemeteries are online for your convenience.
Wyandotte County has just over 31 cemeteries within its borders. The museum has records for most of these cemeteries. Below is a listing of the cemeteries:
