Strategic Communications is focused on improving access to timely, relevant information from the Unified Government to our community and internally.

Preliminary Assessment

During our preliminary assessment (February-August 2021), we identified five core communication challenges:

  1. The organization is overwhelmed by needs and demands.
  2. Staff are fatigued by COVID and other factors.
  3. There is limited bandwidth to take a new idea and run with it.
  4. Our community does not understand or value our work.
  5. Capacity is there but it just needs to be harnessed.
