CLIA-accredited laboratory providing support services for clinics within the Health Department and limited testing to the public. All tests are performed at accredited laboratories.

  • DNA for Paternity: Call 1 (800) 362-2368 to make an appointment. We are a collection site only.

  • Gonorrhea & Chlamydia Testing: Screening for testing in Room 104.

  • HIV Screen: Go to Room 104. No exam required.

  • Syphilis Screen: Go to Room 104. No exam required.

  • Titers for Immunity: All titers require pre-payment. Call (913) 573-8855 for pricing.

Are appointments necessary?

Not for any lab walk-in patients or exams through the STD clinic. However, for Family Planning patients, an appointment is necessary and can usually be scheduled between (24) and (48) hours from the time of the appointment call. DNA testing is ONLY scheduled through calling DNA Diagnostics at 1 (800) 362-2368.

Is there a fee?

Yes, there is a fee for each test for walk-in lab patients. Call (913) 573-8855 for current pricing. For patients of other clinics there is a nominal fee charged for most personal health services. Some fees are based on a sliding scale fee, while others have a set fee.

Eligibility Requirements for Services

No eligibility requirements for services available to the general public or "self-pay" clients. All other services must meet eligibility requirements of the clinic requesting the lab tests.

Where can I send my used needles?

Call 1 (800) 237-3604 or visit MarketLabInc.com and order “Mail Away Sharps Containers.” U.S postage and destruction are pre-paid. Containers include tracking slip and confirmation of destruction, and they are U.S. government approved. Remove the syringes and discard the needles.
