The Human Services Department provides a comprehensive array of services to help people achieve their highest level of self-sufficiency. The Department has 3 divisions: Community Developmental Disabilities Organization, Dispute Resolution and Human Relations. These services provide various forms of assistance to citizens of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, KS.

Community Developmental Disabilities Organization (CDDO)

Dispute Resolution

Hours:
Monday - Friday: 8:00AM - 5:00PM

The Office of Dispute Resolutions receives police department referrals in misdemeanor complaints (common battery, criminal damage, petty thefts, telephone harassments etc.) and attempts to resolve such complaints.

In neighborhood annoyance (dog barking, etc.) the staff attempts to resolve without court action. Providing mediation services to citizen by offering alternative resolutions to disputes in order to reduce case loads/time in Municipal Courts.

Disabled Parking

Disabled Parking Sign Process:

1. Fill out disabled parking application click here for application(PDF, 114KB)
2. Submit completed application
3. Once application is submitted, it will be reviewed by staff
4. A follow up letter will be mailed accordingly
5. A site visit may be conducted
6. It may take 30-60 days to finalize the process 

**If application is incomplete, it will not be reviewed.
