The Wyandotte County Parks Foundation provides opportunities for individuals and organizations to improve the quality of life by supporting Parks & Recreation services in Wyandotte County, KS.
Founded in 1993 for the betterment of public parks in Wyandotte County, KS. The foundation is a qualified tax-exempt Kansas non-profit corporation. The first major project sponsored by the Wyandotte County Parks Foundation has been the collaboration with the Kansas City, KS Public Schools (USD 500), the Kansas City, KS Public Library, and the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, KS to build the Mr. & Mrs. F.L. Schlagle Library, an Environmental Learning Center at Wyandotte County Lake Park.
Programs: The Foundation seeks grants and donors to support parks and recreation through the Parks & Recreation Department of the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, KS.
