Transportation

a picture of the RideKC Bus Unified Government Transportation strives to provide safe, reliable, equitable, and courteous transportation service to the residents and patrons of Wyandotte County. We own and operate a wide variety of Transit-related services within the county. These services provide everything from daily, reliable transportation to jobs and educational institutions, to home-delivered meals and access to doctor appointments. While these services are necessary to many people within the community, they also offer cost-effective alternatives to all residents.

With fixed-route bus lines, Dial-A-Ride paratransit services, demand response transit, and a Meals on Wheels program jointly coordinated with the Unified Government Department of Aging, we offer a unique blend of services to the County. We also contract with the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) for additional services and coordinate with other Regional Transit Providers to make the transit experience user-friendly for everyone.

We recently implemented a new Wyco Health Link program, that provides rides to-and-from medical appointments at no cost to the patient. The program is available for people who live in Wyandotte County and have an appointment at a participating clinic for non-emergency medical services. Individuals can participate in this program regardless of income, insurance coverage, or immigration status.

As a team that lives and works within Wyandotte County, UG Transit has an informed, personal perspective on the needs of the community, and thus is able to tailor our current services around those specific needs.
