Permits
(1) day permit:
Allows you to drive a vehicle to the Highway Patrol Inspection location. Bring the title, proof of insurance, and $1 to the Treasurer’s Office.
- (60) day permit:
Good (60) days from the date of purchase. Purchase a permit where you purchased the vehicle. A permit allows you to drive the vehicle from the purchase location to your home. Out-of-state permits are only allowed to bring the vehicle home. Once you are here and need additional time, you would need to purchase a permit here. Bring the title, proof of insurance, and $8 to the Treasurer’s Office. You are only allowed one (60) day permit due to a vehicle has to be registered within (60) days from the date of purchase. Lost permits cost $8 and expire the same date as the original.
- (60) day IR and (72) hour permits :
Work permits: Allows an out-of-state registered vehicle to work here using one of these permits. Fees vary depending on the vehicle’s registration gross weight.
