Small Business Grant Opportunity
The Unified Government Board of Commissioners approved temporary changes to the Small Business Grant for 2020 to help reduce the financial strain on our local businesses as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Outlined below are the changes.

  1. All deadlines are removed, and applications are accepted on an ongoing, rolling basis
  2. Businesses are not required to provide matching funds
  3. The grant can be used to address the following challenges:
    1. Capital Access
    2. Workforce Capacity
    3. Inventory and Supply Shortfalls
    4. Facility Remediation/Cleanup Costs
    5. Marketing
  4. Businesses are required to provide proof of income lost or inability to meet increased demand as a result of the changing market.
  5. The maximum grant amount businesses can apply for is $5,000.
  6. All documentation is still required, except for financial projections.
