Wyandotte/Leavenworth Area Agency on Aging is partnering with Kansas Creative Arts and Commission (KCAIC) to host a ‘Love Letter’ Workshop for seniors. This is a free one-time two-hour class for the aging public (60 years of age and older) with a grand finale event to follow. In the workshop, the group will examine the theme of Love Letters. Participants will contribute their own stories about love, life, career, and family, answering the question, “What’s Your Love Story?” Karla Bauer, KCAIC Touring Roster teaching artist and internationally recognized singer/songwriter and playwright, will be led by the workshop.

Participants will follow up at the June 23rd workshop session to have a chance for their letter to be honored by putting the words to music that will be featured across the State and on YouTube.

Our goal for this program is to highlight our amazing seniors as they write their LOVE LETTER to capture a very special moment in their life. All while having fun with their peers in a safe and supportive environment.

Please be sure to join us on June 16th and June 23rd.
