National Bike Month: Bike Repair

May is National Bike Month! Join the community for a series of events throughout the month to get out and enjoy cycling in Kansas City, KS.

Bike Repair

Every Saturday this month, the La Placita market will be hosted at Bethany Park on Central Avenue. Join us for some great food and fun and bring your bike for some free repair. Common repairs include flat tire repair, chain repair, wheel alignment, gear adjustments, basic tune-up, etc. We will have some spare parts available.

Free Bike Raffle!

We will have a free bicycle raffle each week with 10-20 bikes to give away each week. Put your name on a bike and will pick the winners at 3PM each Saturday. Winners must be present to win. We will have some free helmets as well!

Donate Your Unused Bikes

Free Wheels 4 Kids will be accepting donations of repairable bikes. All bikes will be used in school programs or distributed back to Wyandotte County.
