Can't put it in the trash? Bring it to the Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Center!

The HHW is available to Wyandotte County residents free of charge. Products accepted include auto batteries, used motor oil, brake fluid, carburetor cleaner, degreasers, gasoline & fuels, furniture stripper, glue with solvents, latex & oil-based paints, paint thinner, putty, grout, caulk & spackle, roofing tar, stain varnish & lacquer, aerosol products, drain & oven cleaners, mothballs, nail polish remover, polish with solvents, spot remover, and propane cylinders.

Visitors will need to show proof of residency, so bring something with your name and address on it.

To view the full list of accepted items, read or download the "What items can the Household Hazardous Waste Center Accept?" PDF. To share these events with your friends, family, and neighbors, check out the WyCo Household Hazardous Waste Collection Days events on Facebook.
