On October 22, 1872, Kansas City, Kansas was formally incorporated, but at that time it was far from the KCK we think of today. At the museum, we get many questions about our early maps and how the city evolved. The 150th Anniversary of KCK provides a great opportunity to share the story of “The Original Kansas City, Kansas” with the community. This exhibit will feature a series of early maps, facts, and images from the city’s earliest years. It will be on display from October 1, 2022 - February 18, 2023.
