Kansas City, KS Housing Authority Advisory Board The UG Commission delegates to the Housing Authority all powers conferred on it by the Municipal Housing Law, including the construction, improvement, repair, and operation of the housing projects within the County.
Landmarks Commission Responsible for overseeing the preservation of the county’s heritage by recommending the designation of historic sites and districts.
Law Enforcement Advisory Board The LEAB serves as the Community Advisory Board to prevent biased policing.
Park Board The Parks and Recreation Board of Commissioners advises on park development, long-term planning, and recreation programs in Wyandotte County.
Self-Supported Municipal Improvement District Advisory Board It represents property owners in the Downtown Shareholders’ KCK service area, also known as the Downtown Improvement District.
Wyandotte County Library Board Contracts with libraries and sets the tax levy to provide services to residents in the Library District, including Piper, Edwardsville, and Turner.
Wyandotte Leavenworth Area Wide Advisory Council on Aging The Areawide Advisory Council helps the Area Agency on Aging plan, coordinate, and advocate for seniors in Wyandotte and Leavenworth Counties. Its goal is to promote independent and dignified lives for older individuals.
