National Police Week and National Peace Officers Memorial Day on May 15th

Kansas City Kansas Police Department
As we recognize National Police Week and National Peace Officers Memorial Day on May 15th, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the men and women of the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department for your continued professionalism, integrity, and service to our community. Your commitment and dedication to protecting and safeguarding our residents, especially given the unprecedented challenges created by the COVID pandemic, cannot be understated.

As we mourn the loss of slain Overland Park Police Officer Mike Mosher, as well as the 307 names added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial this week, it serves as a solemn reminder of the dangers law enforcement officers across our nation face every day. I am proud to honor and recognize the entire KCK Police Department, and thank you for upholding the law and protecting our community during these extraordinary times.
