Neighborhood Resource Center Closed to In-Person Service

Temporary closure due to staffing shortages caused by COVID-19

The Unified Government’s Neighborhood Resource Center (NRC) announced today that it would be closed for in-person customer service at its 4953 State Avenue location from Thursday, December 10 to Monday, January 4.

The closure is due to staffing shortages resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. The temporary office closure will allow the Center’s limited staff time to respond to a backlog of voicemails and emails. In the meantime, please allow up to 48 hours for a response to your request or inquiry via phone or email.

The Center staff asks the public to leave only one voicemail or email about any particular issue. Multiple messages about the same issue will only slow the overall response time for all inquiries.

First opened in 1999, the Neighborhood Resource Center provides building inspections and building permits, as well as property maintenance compliance services. The concept of the NRC was to create a focal point for residents to address issues facing their neighborhoods, as well as to provide easy access to all Unified Government neighborhood services and initiatives.
