Community Development Block Grant

Development of viable urban communities, by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities, principally for persons of low and moderate income.

Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)

The UG receives Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to prevent homelessness, provide services for people without homes or assist individuals and families in regaining stability in permanent housing after experiencing a housing crisis.

Grant Programs

The Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, KS (UG) has secured a Brownfields Assessment Grant from the EPA To address the issue of brownfields in the community and leverage resources.

Grants Management Division

The Grants Management Division within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer provides guidance on UG-wide grants management policy to all departments that seek and receive federal funding, engage in grantmaking, and execute policies and procedures to comply with local and federal regulations.
