UG Offices & Services to Reopen & Resume on Wednesday, January 10

Kansas City, KS – Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas (UG) offices and services will reopen and resume on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.

Due to the extreme weather, UG staff will be arriving at various UG locations at staggered times beginning at 8AM and fully operational by 10AM. Individuals are encouraged to call 3-1-1 or 913-573-5311, if there is any question regarding UG services or offices.

The UG Public Works Department has and will continue to work diligently to ensure roads and sidewalks are cleared throughout Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas.

Impacts to Service

• KCK Municipal Court:
  It has been determined that due to the staggered start time for UG employees from 8AM to 10AM, that the morning court docket normally beginning at 8AM has been canceled. Any scheduled hearings will be continued, and people will be notified of their new court date by mail.

Note: The afternoon docket for tomorrow beginning at 1PM will proceed as scheduled.

• Wyandotte County District Court:  
  Wyandotte County District Court will be open for normal business hours from 8AM to 5PM beginning tomorrow Wednesday, January 10. 
  
  
• Trash and Recycling collection will be delayed by one day this week, as a result of today's winter weather.
