Service Notice

Please be advised that the Treasury Offices will be closed on Wednesday, April 17 from 8:00AM-1:00PM for professional development.

Services Impacted:

  • Delinquent Real Estate
  • Treasury, including in-person payment for permits, fines, licenses and taxes.
  • Motor Vehicle, including personal property taxes, sales taxes, and registration fees for all motor vehicles in Wyandotte County.

Tax sales are held to help collect unpaid taxes. The Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas holds two public auctions per year to sell property that is eligible for the tax sale. Tax sale eligible properties are those that have delinquent taxes for at least three years for homestead properties, two years for commercial properties and one year for vacant and abandoned properties.

We have provided some information that will assist you with either buying a property at the tax sale or how to prevent your property from being sold at the tax sale.

Tax Sale 355 is scheduled for June 26, 2024, at 10:00 AM. This in an online tax sale. Please refer to Bidder Information and Registration for the full details.

All bidders must be pre-registered by June 21, 2024, to participate in the sale.
