Unified Government launches new all-staff monthly email

Following the launch of our new community-centered email service, the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, KS have introduced a new monthly email for all staff. UG Monthly will be sent to all Unified Government employees mid-month with timely updates on key programs and services, staff notes and honors, as well as key information about working for the public sector. 

"We hope to foster better communication in all that we do," said Ashley Z. Hand, Director of Strategic Communications. "Everyone who works for our organization lives right here in Wyandotte County. This is among a suite of tools we have implemented to put timely information in the hands of nearly 2,200 people, your neighbors and friends, so we can best serve our community."

The monthly newsletter is powered by GovDelivery, a software purchased as part of the American Rescue Act Funding to improve communications. The new service was launched earlier this year with an upgraded DotteNews and other interest-specific topics such as senior and caregiver services, Livable Neighborhoods, and the Wyandotte County Museum. Community members and interested stakeholders can subscribe and update their preferences based on interests so they can receive the most relevant information.
