The Health Department's Environmental Health Inspections Program conducts septic inspections and issues septic permits. If you require a septic permit application or have questions about our services, contact our office at (913) 573-6705 or ehs@wycokck.org.

Instructions

Step 1.Contact Us Before Submitting New Applications

For new septic permits, installer licenses, or waste hauler permits, please contact the Environmental Health Division at ehs@wycokck.org to verify information on your request and direct you to the appropriate next steps.

Step 2.Submit Renewal Applications and Other Forms

If submitting a renewal application, you don't need to contact us first, though you are always welcome reach out to us with questions. Forms may be submitted by email or by mail. If fees apply, please submit the form based on how you want to pay.

Septic Permit Application (to be Submitted by the Installer)

  • Before submitting new permit applications, please contact ehs@wycokck.org to verify details and next steps.
  • This application is to be used for a repair, alteration, or new construction of a private onsite wastewater (septic) management system.
  • This application requires a Licensed Septic Installer and should be submitted by the installer. Applications must include all necessary documentation (varies by proposal) and payment.

Septic Installer License Application, Policies, and Procedures

  • This application should be used for installer license renewals, new installers, and one-time homeowner licenses.
    • For new installers and one-time homeowner licenses, please contact the Environmental Health Division at ehs@wycokck.org to check eligibility and to schedule the qualifying exam.
  • Please review the policies and procedures before submitting your application.

Septic Decommission Form

This form should be used anytime a system or tank is decommissioned. This form will need to be filled out in full and be submitted with the corresponding documents (listed on the application) to Environmental Health after the system has been decommissioned. There is no fee, this is for reporting purposes only.

Waste Hauler Permit Application

  • This form is to be used for new or renewing liquid waste hauling/pumping vehicles or trailers. Before submitting new permit applications, please contact ehs@wycokck.org to verify details and next steps.
  • A copy of the occupational tax is required with the application to confirm bond requirements have been met. An inspection is also required and will be scheduled after the application and payment has been received.
