Zoning Code
Planning + Urban Design oversees the implementation and improvement of the Unified Government Code of Ordinances, which includes the KCK Zoning Code and Piper Annex Zoning Code. This entails ordinance studies, code interpretations, and community outreach to create a zoning code that serves the needs of the community and forms a framework for quality development.
You can view the KCK Zoning Code, the Piper Annex Zoning Code and the Zoning Map below:
*Please note, Piper Annex Zoning Code only applies to any property where the zoning district includes "(WyCo)"*
2025 Zoning Code Update
Starting Summer 2025, the Unified Government will begin a comprehensive update of the KCK Zoning Code, which has not received a full overhaul since 1984. The code has been updated piecemeal since then, but a complete update will launch our community into the future, setting better development standards for a more prosperous, equitable KCK. This update is in part funded through a Planning Sustainable Places grant, administered by the Mid America Regional Council. Stay tuned for updates on this effort.
