2025 Budget Workshops with UG Commission

The UG Commission sets the priorities for the annual budget preparation for the Unified Government for all city and county services. Over the next several months, the UG Commission will participate in a series of budget workshops to discuss various considerations when establishing these priorities. The County Administrator then prepares and presents a proposed 2025 budget in August 2024 for adoption.

The public is invited to tune-in for each of these workshops as there will be a lot of great information shared about our current financial status, efforts to address our budget process and fiscal sustainability, and other important considerations.

March 7, 5PM: Budget Workshop #1 | Introducing the Capital Improvement Plan and key considerations
March 21, 5PM: Budget Workshop #2 | Discussion about Revenue Neutral Rate and Other Efforts to Achieve Fiscal Sustainability
April 4, 5PM: Budget Workshop #3
April 18, 5PM: Budget Workshop #4
May 16, 5PM: Budget Workshop #5 | Proposed Capital Improvement Plan, including infrastructure, facilities, equipment and technology
June 6, 5PM: Budget Workshop #6
June 6, 7PM: Public Hearing on the 2025 Budget Workshop (public comment welcome!)
June 27, 5PM: Budget Workshop #7
August 8, 5PM: County Administrator presents 2025 Proposed Budget

Budget Simulator launches soon!

Check back near the end of March when the UG will be launching a city and county budget simulator. Attempt to balance the budget yourself and share your feedback through the simulator. All community input will be shared with the UG Commission as part of this annual budget process.
