Come learn about the resources available in the Kansas City, Kansas community. If you are a parent, teacher, or caregiver of an individual with a disability, please join us for a day full of information!

EVENT SCHEDULE:
  • 9:00 am – 10:15 am - Raising Expectations Through Transition Services in the IEP & Person-Centered Planning: Empowering Families & Youth During the Transition to Adulthood
  • 10:15 am – 11:30 am - My Transition My Career Project Transition Resource Panel
  • 11:30 am – 3:00 pm - Resource Fair - ·Visit and learn from several vendors on services that are available to help youth with disabilities transition to adulthood.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: APRIL 29, 2024

*Lunch is included for those who pre-register and attend the Families Together training.

PARKING:

Once you arrive and park, you will enter through the main visitor entrance at the Central Office location.

After entering, staff will assist you in getting to the stairs or elevators to access the event on the 3rd floor of the building. There will be a table where you will sign-in for the day and receive additional information. Pastries and coffee will be offered prior to the first session.

Families Together is Kansas’ federally designated Parent Training & Information Center (PTI) and Family-to-Family Health Information Center (F2F). We provide support for families and their children who have disabilities, and/or special health care needs. Brought to you in part by the Unified Government Department of Human Services.
