Candlelight Vigil to Honor Fallen KCKPD Officer Hunter Simoncic

In honor of the sacrifice given by Officer Simoncic, the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department (KCKPD) and the Unified Government will hold a candlelight vigil on Thursday, August 28, at 7:30PM. in front of the Unified Government Municipal Building (700 N. 7th Street, KCK).

The road in front of the Municipal Building (7th Street from Ann Avenue to Barnett Avenue) will be closed beginning at 5:30PM in preparation for the candlelight vigil.

Parking will be available in lots 2, 3, and E. Lot 2 is on the West side of Memorial Hall, and lots 3 and E are East of the Municipal Building on both the North and South sides of the street.

We know the support from our community is strong and we hope to see you there to honor and remember Officer Simoncic.

Donate to the Official Officer Hunter Simoncic Memorial Fund

The Official Memorial Fund for Officer Hunter Simoncic is set up through the Kansas City, Kansas Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #4.

Donations can be made to: KCK FOP Memorial Fund c/o Simoncic Family at any Public Safety Credit Union location.
ALL proceeds collected will be donated directly to the family.
