Innovation Lab: Quindaro Blvd

You are cordially invited to join FUSE Corps Executive Fellow DeWayne Bright Sr. for an upcoming Innovation Lab to discuss a strategy for this central corridor in the historic Northeast KCK. Following a series of community engagement efforts, this session will be a great opportunity to define a path forward in revitalizing the boulevard.

goal of the innovation lab:

To develop a comprehensive economic and place-based strategy for the revitalization of Quindaro Boulevard.

The Innovation Lab will build on the ideas and insights gathered through various community engagement efforts that have been discussing the future of Quindaro Boulevard. A "place-based" strategy means that the ideas developed in this lab are specific to Quindaro Boulevard, incorporating the local character of the existing neighborhoods and potential uses for the future. 

What to expect

The discussion will be led by Thomas Houston, Executive Director of Medici Road. Joining Houston and Bright for the conversation is Nathaniel Bencivenga, Director of Fellows, FUSE Corps. Community members are invited to join the lab, a working session where the conversation will help define realistic, thoughtful opportunities and the actions to get there. Medici Road is a Washington, D.C.-based community and economic development agency which utilizes the racial equity lens to improve quality of life using human-centered design.
