Share Your Memories: 2025 Memorial Hall Community Archiving Day

The Wyandotte County Historical Museum needs your help!

Bring your stories, memories and treasures to be captured! The Community Archiving Days are designed to preserve and share the rich history of the iconic Memorial Hall from its first 100 years.

Join the Wyandotte County Historical Museum and the Memorial Hall Centennial Committee at the Wyandotte County Historical Museum in Wyandotte County Park (631 N. 126th St. Bonner Springs, KS 66012).

We’ll be on-site with a camera, scanners, and an audio recorder to help capture the objects and stories related to the building. This isn’t just about collecting artifacts; we’re not asking you to donate your stuff. Though, the Wyandotte County Historical Museum would be happy to discuss the process with you if interested. Instead, it’s about building a living archive that reflects the stories and memories of Memorial Hall.

Let us digitize them and keep them safe for generations to come. Plus, each participant will receive a USB with copies of their contributed objects and stories.

Stop by July 10th from 4-7pm or July 12th from 12-3pm to have your materials scanned and stories recorded so that your history can be added to the Wyandotte County Historical Museum’s archive and the upcoming centennial celebration of Memorial Hall.

Some ideas (though not a comprehensive list) include:

  • Tickets
  • Programs
  • Photographs
  • Items from events

Can't join us on-site?  No problem, you can still share your Memorial Hall stories and artifacts online by uploading them to: Collections – Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, KS

We can't wait to see and hear about all the amazing memories!
