Our police department serves a population of approximately 169,000 residents and is currently staffed with approximately 320 sworn officers. As part of our commitment to improving community trust, ensuring officer accountability, and enhancing operational effectiveness, we are seeking to maintain a comprehensive and integrated BWC and ICC solution. These technologies are intended to work in tandem to provide comprehensive coverage and documentation of officer interactions in the field

The Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas (UG) is seeking information from qualified vendors to support our efforts in obtaining Body-Worn Cameras (BWC) and In-Car Cameras (ICC) for the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department. We are seeking to gather information on the latest available technology, features, and solutions to meet the operational needs of our department and enhance officer safety, transparency, and accountability in service to our community.

This RFI shall in no way be interpreted as an Invitation for Bid (“IFB) or Request for Proposal (“RFP”) and any information obtained as a result of this RFI may or may not be used by the Unified Government to develop a future IFB or RFP.
