2023 Donuts with Santa Event Proved to Be a Huge Success

More than 500 KCK kids received Gifts from Santa as they Enjoyed this Year's "Donuts with Santa" Holiday Event
On Saturday, December 9, 2023, the Unified Government Parks and Recreation Department hosted their annual "Donuts with Santa" holiday event at Memorial Hall from 9AM to 12PM. The free event, hosted at Memorial Hall in Downtown KCK, included hours of fun activities, balloon artists, hot cocoa, donuts, and games for all ages. Santa made a special appearance to bring presents to each child in attendance, giving away more than 500 gifts generously donated by the Wyandotte County Parks Foundation!
Over 500 Wyandotte County youth and their families gathered to enjoy this FREE event. Upon entry, each child received a "Donuts with Santa" passport card to have stamped as they visited each activity and attraction. As children that filled their passport card, they were able to enter to win one of ten grand prizes of their choice, including KC Monarchs & Royals tickets, a Dave & Buster's Gift basket, a hoverboard, Lego sets, and a tabletop air hockey game to name a few.
This year youth and families had the opportunity to help encourage local Seniors at the Riverbend and Victory Hills Senior Living Facilities by writing them friendly holiday messages and pictures. All created holiday cards and pictures will be delivered by Parks and Recreation staff members.
