Developers and Partners Invited to Join RFQ Pre-Bid Webinar on March 23

On Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 11AM, the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, KS will host a virtual pre-bid webinar for an upcoming request for qualifications (RFQ) to discuss three UG-owned sites. This webinar will allow interested developers, consultants, and firms to gain firsthand insight regarding the pre-bid process and requirements.

The Unified Government has partnered with Development Strategies, an economic development consulting firm to assist with this redevelopment proposal process. Attendees will get the opportunity to directly ask questions of the event speakers, including Director of Planning & Urban Design Gunnar Hand, Interim County Administrator Cheryl Harrison-Lee, and Andy Pfister and Justin Carney of Development Strategies. Anyone interested in attending is required to register via Zoom.

Each site is different but all great opportunities to transform key gateways across Kansas City, KS. The team will review each site in greater detail during the pre-bid webinar.

  • Three UG-owned parcels at the former Indian Springs Mall location - 47th & State Avenue
  • Two UG-owned parcels at 4th and Minnesota Avenue
  • Multiple Land Bank lots in the southeast corner of 18th and Quindaro
