Providing Accessible Swim Lessons and Equipment to Area Youth & Adults in KCK
Drowning is the second leading cause of death of children ages 1-14 second only to motor vehicle crashes. The Unified Government Parks & Recreation Department in partnership with the YMCA, GEHA and the Hunt Family Foundation is excited to offer FREE swim lessons for a number of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas youth and adults at Parkwood Pool this summer through the Joe Delaney Learn to Swim Program.
Over from June 10th - June 27th approximately 150 youth will receive swim participate in the Joe Delaney Learn to swim Program at Parkwood Pool.
The youth are from the Unified Government Parks and Recreation Summer Camps, Boys and Girls Club and Youth Front.
There will be four 30-minute classes for each group held every Sunday in the month of July for youth and adults. Sign up today, to secure your spot!
Swim Starters 2:00 – 2:30 pm
Preschool 2:40 3:10 pm
Preschool 3:20- 3:50 pm
Youth 4:00 -4:30 pm
Youth 4:40 – 5:10 pm
Adult/Teen 5:20 – 5:50 pm
