As temperatures begin to rise over the summer months, please be aware of the various cooling centers throughout Wyandotte County & Kansas City, Kansas. 

Drink plenty of water! This helps your body regulate internal temperatures & stay cool in the heat.

Be mindful of activity! Avoid high-energy activities or work outdoors, during midday heat, if possible.

NEVER leave people or pets in closed cars on a warm day!

Check on family members and neighbors! Older individuals, children, and those with illnesses are more susceptible to heat-related illnesses
