Next Tuesday, September 30th, the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, KS (UG) is excited to host the 2025 Building Connections Vendor & Small Business Resource Fair from 9 AM - 2 PM at Memorial Hall (600 N. 7th Street Trfy., Kansas City, KS 66101).
This FREE Vendor & Small Business Fair brings together small businesses and local companies with goods and services to sell to meet and learn about working with government and other large organizations who have budgets and purchasing needs.
“We are extremely excited to assist small and local businesses with resources and networking opportunities to aid in scaling their businesses," said Unified Government Procurement Manager Sharon Reed. "This event also helps businesses understand how to explore procurement opportunities with government agencies and large corporations. With major events coming to our region very soon, we are committed to partnering with our local businesses to ensure they are equipped with guidance, resources and opportunities."
Resource Workshops and Presentations
Whether you are looking for ways to increase your competitiveness for contracts or want to be ready for some great upcoming opportunities for local businesses in the region, you are welcome!
The public is invited to learn from participating organizations during a presentation series from 9 AM - 11 AM. There will be small discussions and workshops on a variety of topics to help business owners create and maintain success. Some topics include:
- Preparing for the Next Big Event: Major sporting events, future conferences, and other new attractions drawing crowds to the region.
- Working with Government Agencies: We will share best practices on how to do business with government agencies. Learn how to work with these organizations to grow your business. There will also be information about upcoming procurement opportunities and how to procure your business license.
Local Business Vendor Fair - Come Support Local Businesses
From 11 AM - 2 PM, the public can join us for the Vendor and Resource Fair where local businesses will be selling their goods and services. Community members and business owners will have the opportunity to network with other business owners and various resource providers from across the metro.
