Deasiray Bush Named Transportation Director

Congratulations to Deasiray Bush on her recent appointment to Director of Transportation for the Unified Government.

Ms. Bush has been with the UG for approximately 11 years with time spent in Community Development, Budget, and the Area Agency on Aging. As director, Ms. Bush will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily transit operations, including operational budget oversight; assisting with the County's long-term transportation forecast of community needs and funding, collaborating with stakeholders and internal teams to address and meet community needs, identifying and applying for additional public transportation grants, and ensuring staff is well-equipped with training and tools to ensure job functionality success.

She is thrilled to be a member of the Transportation Department and looks forward to the department's purpose of providing equitable, reliable, economical, and safe mobility services to Wyandotte County residents and the traveling public. Congratulations!
