Holiday jingles, jams and lights coming to Wyandotte County Park

The Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, KS is partnering with Jolt-Lighting to create a mile long drive-thru winter wonderland experience this holiday season, Holiday Light & Magic. This family and animal-friendly event will kick off Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 6:00pm at Wyandotte County Park, 600 N. 126th St, Bonner Springs, KS 66012. Featuring over 100 fully synchronized light and music displays of Santa scenes, reindeers, dinosaurs and so much more, families can tune into a set FM station to fully experience this exciting event.

The entire holiday light experience will open every night at 6:00pm beginning Thursday, November 18, 2021 and will close for the season Sunday, January 2, 2021. Due to the high demand of this amazing event, ticketed timeslots must be purchased in advance online at holidaylightandmagic.com. Please purchase tickets online in advance as no cash is accepted and tickets will not be available at the gate.

Supporting Our Parks

A portion of the proceeds from this family friendly event will go to support the Wyandotte County Parks Foundation. The Wyandotte County Parks Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides opportunities for individuals and organizations to improve the quality of life through the support of parks and recreation services in Wyandotte County, Kansas.

“The Unified Government is extremely excited to bring this world class light show to Wyandotte County Park,” said Assistant County Administrator Emerick Cross. “We are delighted that proceeds from this amazing event will go to benefit the Wyandotte County Parks Foundation. This will allow for a more robust parks system in the future.”

Attendees can purchase snacks such as kettle corn, chocolate covered pretzels, cotton candy, hot chocolate from Jack’s Kettle Corn. We hope you will join us for the fun and festive way to celebrate the holidays and support our parks.

Our County in Lights

Wyandotte County will be host to several holiday activities in addition to the Holiday Light and Magic show by Jolt-Lighting. The National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame will be hosting Santa’s Express in Lights on December 3-5 and 10-12 and the Renaissance Festival will be hosting the 2021 Knights of Lights on Thursday-Sunday evenings beginning November 26. Cost of Admission

Sunday - Thursday:
  • $20 + taxes/fees per standard vehicle
  • $30 + taxes/fees per limousine or commercial van under 13-ft high
  • $40 + taxes/fees per commercial bus under 13-ft high

Friday & Saturday:

  • $25 + taxes/fees per standard vehicle
  • $35 + taxes/fees per limousine or commercial van under 13-ft high
  • $45 + taxes/fees per commercial bus under 13-ft high
