The Kansas Turnpike Authority (KTA) and the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) will be closing lanes and restricting ramp access at the I-70/I-435 interchange on Tuesday, November 1, weather permitting. Traffic will be reduced to one lane on the southbound I-435 to eastbound I-70 ramp (left lane will remain open). The northbound I-435 to eastbound I-70 ramp will be closed. These closures are necessary for KTA bridge deck patching and repairs to the bridge crossing 98th Street on the combined northbound and southbound I-435 ramp to eastbound I-70. Work will take place from 9 AM to approximately 7 PM. Message boards are in place alerting motorists to interchange closures and directing traffic toward the advised detour. KDOT urges all motorists to be alert and obey the warning signs when approaching and driving through a highway work zone.
