UG to Host Inauguration Ceremony for Newly & Re-Elected UG Officials

The Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas (UG) will host an Inauguration Ceremony on Monday, December 15th, 2025, at 5PM at Memorial Hall (600 N. 7th Street, KCK, KS), to welcome and congratulate the new Mayor, newly and re-elected Commissioners and Sheriff. 

Community members and media are invited to attend the inauguration ceremony in person. The inauguration ceremony will also be livestreamed via the UG YouTube page channel for community members unable to attend in person. 

Newly Elected and Re-Elected Officials Include:

• Christal E. Watson, Mayor/ CEO - (Newly Elected) 
• Andrew Kump, Commissioner At Large District 2 - (Newly Elected) 
• Jermaine Howard, Commissioner District 1 - (Newly Elected) 
• Dr. Carlos Pacheco, Commissioner District 5 - (Newly Elected) 
• Chuck Stites, Commissioner District 7 – (Re-Elected)
• Andrew Davis, Commissioner District 8 – (Re-Elected)
• Daniel Soptic, Wyandotte County Sheriff - (Re-Elected)

2025 Inauguration Ceremony

• Memorial Hall (600 N. 7^th Street Tfwy., Kansas City, KS 66101) 
• Doors open at 4 PM - Ceremony start time 5 PM

Media and community members attending the ceremony in person are also invited to a reception following the inauguration, where light refreshments will be served.

FREE parking will be available in all designated parking lots around Memorial Hall.
