Johnson recognized with Equity Partner of the Year Award

Commissioner Harold Johnson (District 4) was honored on October 27, 2022 by MORE2 as the 2022 Equity Partner of the Year.
"As we look at our community and its wonderful diversity, it is necessary to have public policy that reflects that its local government values that diversity," said Commissioner Johnson as he reflected on the honor. "Safe and Welcoming is a cause that called me. That call was to ensure the dignity of everyone that calls Kansas City, KS home with a means to identify themselves. Safe and Welcoming provided a path forward in terms of identifying and protecting the safety and welfare of all of our citizens, regardless if they are undocumented or not."
